- I am having a number of problems getting a US Robotics Courier PCMCIA
- V.34 modem working with Windows 95.
-
- First, it gets detected as a Sportster 28.8 PCMCIA, not a Courier. The
- new INF file for Courier modems doesn't fix this.
-
- Second, are these modems flash programmable like the other Couriers? I
- haven't been able to get the USRSDL software to work in upgrading these
- modems.
-
- Third, I cannot keep a connection alive with these modems. The connections
- just hang after a couple of minutes. What seems to happen is that it loses
- the ability to receive data - a continuous ping while connected using
- dial-up networking will show the transmit light flashing, however the
- receive light doesn't flash showing it receiving data. No amount of tweeking
- with the port settings seems to fix this.
-
- I've been trying to get this modem working for several months unsucessfully.
- Any help anyone may offer would be appreciated.
